TL;DR
Mission Critical Quality Engineer (Manufacturing Quality): Driving customer-focused quality management for mission-critical equipment and manufacturing operations with an accent on root cause analysis, reliability, and cross-functional problem solving. Focus on conducting quality audits, resolving customer complaints, implementing corrective actions, and improving quality systems through Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, and APQP.

Location: Pueblo, Colorado, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a choice of work location on Fridays

Salary: $75,700.00–$135,834.99 annual base salary

What you will do

  • Provide customer support and manage quality-related service for mission-critical manufacturing operations and equipment.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and resolution of customer complaints and non-conformities.
  • Evaluate quality performance using audits, Gemba, management reviews, warranty data, traceability, KPIs, and customer feedback.
  • Conduct customer site visits and quality audits, document findings, and convert feedback into improvement plans.
  • Support supplier, reliability, continuous improvement, and new product introduction activities.
  • Report key quality issues and follow-up actions to sales, quality, and customer-facing stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering, preferably with customer-specific requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with FMEA, root cause analysis, 8D, 5 Whys, statistical and sampling techniques, SPC, process capability, traceability, and control points.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Pueblo, Colorado, Monday through Thursday, with customer and plant site visits as required.
