AI Application Developer

Location: Hybrid in Garching, Bavaria, Germany, with most office-based roles onsite three days a week

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy business-specific AI applications, copilots, agents, and intelligent workflows.
• Build constrained, tool-using AI agents integrated with enterprise systems, APIs, knowledge repositories, and business applications.
• Translate business processes and user journeys into scalable AI solutions that deliver measurable operational value.
• Establish evaluation, testing, monitoring, auditability, and compliance practices for reliable AI solutions.
• Lead cross-functional AI application projects from concept through production deployment and optimize production performance.
• Develop reusable workflows, prompts, agent templates, integration patterns, and recommendations for emerging AI technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in software, application, automation, or AI solution development.
• Specialized experience designing and deploying AI applications, copilots, intelligent agents, and workflow automation using enterprise AI platforms and Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Strong knowledge of business process analysis, AI solution architecture, API integrations, enterprise systems, and AI governance.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, AWS AI/ML services, and related cloud-native technologies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects, influence stakeholders, and deliver scalable AI solutions.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Certifications in Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Engineer, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, or similar technologies.
• Experience with responsible AI, model evaluation, observability, auditability, and enterprise-scale environments.
