Principal DevOps Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Stockholm, Sweden

What you will do

• Build and operate an internal engineering platform for real-time authorization services.
• Design self-service tooling that enables development teams to create, test, launch, and monitor services independently.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and support AWS multi-account strategies.
• Reduce security, governance, compliance, and cross-team delivery overhead.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and improve platform operations at scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong production Python skills and Git.
• Strong Python and Go experience, including REST APIs, HTTP(S), NGINX, and proxy management.
• Experience with AWS services, cloud-native networking, IAM, identity and access control, and AWS multi-account environments.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, Jenkins, Docker, CI/CD, and preferably AWS ECS.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
• Fluency in English and/or Swedish and a valid Swedish work permit are required.

Nice to have

• React experience.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent expertise.
• Experience with AI-driven operations and tooling.
• Experience building secure or PCI-DSS certified solutions.
• Public code, technical writing, or relevant projects.
