TL;DR
Senior Platform Engineer (Kubernetes/Python): Building and operating large-scale Kubernetes platforms, infrastructure automation, and operational tooling for Toptracer’s globally scaling golf technology with an accent on reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Focus on designing on-premises platform architecture, automating deployments and infrastructure, and solving complex distributed-systems challenges across development and operations.
Location: Hybrid, with the primary workplace at the office in Danderyd, Stockholm, Sweden

What you will do
- Build, operate, and maintain large-scale Kubernetes platforms primarily on self-managed and on-premises infrastructure.
- Develop Python backend services, APIs, automation, and operational tooling.
- Design infrastructure provisioning, deployment strategies, and automation workflows for physical and virtual environments.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, efficiency, and developer productivity by removing operational bottlenecks.
- Contribute to software and platform architecture, technical strategy, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams while mentoring and sharing knowledge.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing, operating, and maintaining large-scale Kubernetes platforms in self-managed or on-premises environments.
- Several years of experience with Linux environments and operational infrastructure.
- Strong Python backend programming skills, including scalable automation, tooling, and APIs.
- Experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, Docker, and containerized environments.
- Ability to understand distributed systems, architectural dependencies, and platform scalability across development and operations.
- Strong communication, knowledge-sharing, mentoring, and technical decision-making skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Flask, FastAPI, Django, PostgreSQL, GitOps, or Argo CD.
- Experience defining automated testing strategies and deploying cloud-based distributed systems.
- Experience with agile teams, Scrum Master responsibilities, or blue/green deployment strategies.
