Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

Location: Onsite at 2701 Louisville Ave, Monroe, Louisiana, United States

Hourly wage: $33.00–$63.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and major or minor repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Use multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment maintenance.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain heavy machinery, powered equipment, vehicles, tools, and testing equipment.
• Lead assigned work sites, determine project scopes, oversee less-experienced associates, and provide hands-on technical and safety training.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, contractors, invoices, warranty claims, expense records, and budget information.
• Ensure work meets company quality standards, safety requirements, applicable federal, state, and local regulations, OSHA guidelines, and EPA guidelines.

Requirements

• Vocational or technical certification plus 3 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area; or 6 years of relevant experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report required.
• Commercial driving record must meet specified safety standards, including no recent DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions, serious traffic violations, or preventable commercial vehicle accidents.
• Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, parts catalogs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, hoists, heavy machinery, vehicles, and material handling equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
