AVP, CRE Asset Management (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Houston, TX, United States

Salary: $95,000–$130,000 annual base salary, with potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Manage assigned commercial real estate loans and communicate with borrowers, lenders, and investors.
• Process borrower requests, consents, construction draws, and loan-specific events and triggers.
• Analyze property financials, cash flows, rent rolls, market conditions, and valuations.
• Prepare quarterly asset reports and weekly loan portfolio updates covering risks, issues, discussions, and events.
• Monitor property-level concerns, including capital expenditure projects, leasing progress, construction status, and overall performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, business, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 6 years of relevant industry experience, typically including 1 or more years at Senior Associate level or equivalent.
• Experience in commercial real estate and debt or equity asset management.
• Knowledge of major property types, including office, industrial, retail, and multifamily, plus basic knowledge of hotels and condominiums.
• Advanced CRE knowledge covering underwriting, loan servicing, treasury practices, IRR, NPV, DSCR, DY, NOI, and NCF.
• Ability to build complex financial models, work independently under tight deadlines, and communicate effectively.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of transitional, development, pre-development, repositioning, and stabilized properties.
• Experience with participations, syndications, CLOs/CDOs, senior and mezzanine debt, warehouse lines, and repo lines.
