Service Technician 1 - Sr. Service Technician (Natural Gas)

What you will do

• Respond to customer service requests, including gas connections and disconnections as operator qualifications are completed.
• Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading equipment; read meters and record usage for billing.
• Explain required repairs to customers, answer basic questions, and confirm satisfaction with completed work.
• Support natural gas and other emergency response activities, including standby duty, call-outs, shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, identify safety and encroachment issues, and operate and inspect assigned vehicles and equipment safely.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license meeting company standards.
• Ability to complete and maintain Operator Qualifications, on-the-job training, required classes, and certifications.
• Ability to communicate basic factual information with internal and external customers.
• Ability to lift up to 53 pounds, work in confined spaces and elevated locations, and perform outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Safety-sensitive role requiring pre- and post-employment drug testing, DOT/PHMSA screening, and motor vehicle record checks.
