Gas Plant Operator (Natural Gas)

What you will do

• Operate the outside systems of a continuous mixed natural gas liquids fractionation or cryogenic facility.
• Monitor gas treating, absorption, distillation, fractionation, product treating, dehydration, and cryogenic equipment.
• Operate gas compressors, auxiliary engines, motors, and pumps.
• Perform site checks, prepare engine room logs, and adjust equipment based on control room direction.
• Perform lubrication, minor maintenance, alarm checks, and Process Safety Management testing.
• Support maintenance and other groups while maintaining safety and security in the work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to monitor equipment, interpret gauges, diagrams, drawings, and schematics.
• Knowledge of equipment repair, hazard identification, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tagout procedures.
