Construction Operator, Service Technician, or Distribution Operator (Natural Gas)

Location: Steamboat Springs, Colorado, United States; residency requirements apply. The role may require standby duty, emergency call-outs, reporting outside the regular work area, overnight travel, and residence within the required response area.

Salary: Service or Construction: $30.26–$35.76 per hour plus a $4.50-per-hour housing allowance for Steamboat Springs-based employees. Distribution Operator: $50.36–$52.36 per hour plus the same housing allowance. Annual bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Assist with installing and maintaining natural gas lines, meters, and regulators.
• Assist with natural gas leakage surveys.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for company and regulatory requirements.
• Operate and inspect assigned company vehicles and equipment safely.
• Identify, address, and report safety and encroachment issues through resolution.
• Work shifts, weekends, holidays, standby duty, emergency call-outs, and occasional extended hours as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license meeting company standards; CDL-A is preferred.
• Ability to complete required Operator Qualifications, on-the-job training, classroom training, and certifications.
• Basic computer and communication skills for data entry, information retrieval, and customer communication.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather, around noise, rough terrain, confined spaces, ladders, roofs, attics, and under houses.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 88 pounds, perform pulling tasks, and bend, stoop, squat, kneel, or crouch. Pre- and post-employment DOT, PHMSA, drug, and motor vehicle record screenings are required.
