Field Tech 1 (Environmental)

Location: Newburgh, New York, with travel across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; some overnight stays are required.

Salary: $19.00 per hour

What you will do

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites throughout the East Coast territory.
• Collect, process, test, pick up, transport, and deliver air, soil, water, and related environmental samples.
• Prepare vehicles, instruments, supplies, sampling kits, safety equipment, and documentation for daily field operations.
• Complete logs, forms, databases, test-kit records, and other documentation accurately and on time.
• Support environmental programs, operational improvements, issue resolution, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Interact professionally and cooperatively with customers and coworkers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain required licenses and certifications.
• Ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays, and operate a company vehicle with GPS/telematics and inward- and outward-facing safety cameras.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work outdoors, in offices, and in laboratory settings with potential exposure to weather, chemicals, fumes, gases, odors, and biological materials.

Nice to have

• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting.
• Related work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
