Location: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; homeworking and teleworking are listed, but the role requires recurring work onboard jack-up vessels and at offshore wind turbine sites.

What you will do

  • Lead and supervise Turning Device operations during installation, maintenance, repair, and major component exchange activities.
  • Verify equipment readiness, inspections, tooling suitability, and task controls.
  • Provide first-line troubleshooting and technical support for Turning Device equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with RAMS, lift plans, permit-to-work systems, and safety standards.
  • Coach users, support toolbox talks and shift handovers, and maintain operational records.
  • Coordinate with lifting teams, crane operators, technicians, engineering, EHS, vessel managers, and customer stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HSBM Turning Device User and a TDSU qualification or willingness to obtain Super User certification.
  • Experience in offshore wind, heavy lift, major component exchange, or crane operations.
  • Knowledge of permit-to-work systems, RAMS, risk assessments, and lifting operations.
  • Mechanical experience with tooling, hydraulics, or rotating equipment, plus strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
  • Experience coaching or supporting technicians in safety-critical environments.
  • Relevant technical qualification or equivalent industry experience, valid GWO, HUET, and offshore medical certifications, and willingness to travel.
