Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer (Renewable Energy)

What you will do

• Develop and implement HSE management systems, policies, procedures, and safety culture initiatives.
• Oversee health and safety performance across UK utility-scale renewable construction and commissioning sites.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, safety reviews, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Review RAMS, method statements, and contractor safety documentation.
• Monitor environmental compliance, permitting requirements, environmental risks, and mitigation plans.
• Produce HSE reports, maintain compliance records, support audits and ESG reporting, and deliver training.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of HSE experience in construction, energy, utilities, or infrastructure.
• Experience with utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, wind, or large infrastructure projects.
• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is essential.
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and CDM Regulations.
• Experience managing HSE across multiple construction sites, EPC environments, and contractors.
• Experience with audits, investigations, risk assessments, and ISO standards including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
