What you will do

• Set up, write, and edit programs for CNC lathes, mills, and drills.
• Maintain strict quality and tolerances within .0003”.
• Interpret work order routings, prints, sketches, and layout sheets to guide machining.
• Apply knowledge of working properties for stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and exotics.
• Inspect produced work using micrometers, bore gages, and vernier calipers to verify specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and ensure a clean, orderly work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical school education and working machinist knowledge.
• Minimum 3 years of CNC machining programming and operating experience (5 years preferred).
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Previous experience as a Manual machinist.
• Ability to operate at least 2 different CNC machine tools.
