CNC Machinist - Programmer / Operator

What you will do

• Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes, mills, drills, and other numerically controlled machinery.
• Produce machined components while maintaining quality and tolerances within .0003 inches.
• Read work orders, engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, routings, and machine documentation.
• Preset and resharpen tools, adjust machine parameters, and work with stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, and exotic materials.
• Inspect finished work using micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance, report equipment issues, maintain a clean work area, and follow safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with technical school education and machinist knowledge or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of CNC machining programming and operating experience; 5 years preferred.
• Experience operating at least two CNC machine tools and previous experience as a manual machinist.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machine documentation.
• Working knowledge of programming languages, machine parameters, mathematical calculations, and elementary technical problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and complete tasks efficiently.
