Senior Site EHS Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, with the opportunity based at the East Aurora, NY location; 1st shift

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage site Environmental, Health and Safety programs, procedures, audits, permits, and reporting systems.
• Identify hazards, assess operational risks, and recommend measures to eliminate or reduce them.
• Create, maintain, and deliver regulatory compliance training for employees and supervisors.
• Interpret EHS regulations and data, support compliant process improvements, and monitor corrective actions.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations for EHS incidents and near misses.
• Support emergency response activities, regulatory inspections, agency inquiries, OSHA reporting, and ESG energy submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, chemical engineering, engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive environmental, health, and safety experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, EHS program implementation, gap assessments, and prioritization of findings.
• Ability to interpret EHS data and regulations and develop clear site programs and compliant procedures.
• Experience conducting regulatory compliance training and investigating incidents and near misses.
• Ability to work onsite and support on-call emergency response; the role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
