EHS Manager - Construction

Location: Carson City, Nevada, United States; on-site role supporting multiple construction project sites across the U.S., with travel up to 40%.

What you will do

• Manage on-site Construction Safety/EHS Specialists across multiple concurrent energy storage and manufacturing EPC projects.
• Translate EHS strategy into standardized procedures, site execution, audits, training programs, and safety plans.
• Coordinate EHS requirements with customers, general contractors, subcontractors, and self-perform teams.
• Lead escalation of serious incidents and regulatory issues, support investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor safety performance, incident trends, staffing needs, equipment readiness, and risk mitigation across the project portfolio.
• Develop injury-reduction, fatality-prevention, and safety-culture improvement strategies while reporting to the EHS Director.

Requirements

• 10+ years of construction EHS experience, including 5+ years managing or supervising EHS professionals.
• Associate’s degree in construction safety management or a related field, or CHST certification with the required construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment, methods, processes, and applicable Federal and State OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.
• OSHA 30 certification obtained within the last 5 years.
• Experience leading multiple sections or disciplines through subordinate supervisors or professionals, including workforce planning and performance management.
• Ability to travel up to 40% across project sites and work occasional nights and weekends as required.

Nice to have

• Experience in utility-scale solar or battery energy storage construction EHS.
• Associate’s degree in construction safety management or a related field.
