Lab Assistant (Accessioner)

Location: Fairfield, OH, USA. Onsite, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Salary: $16–$17 per hour

DNA Diagnostics Center provides DNA relationship testing and related diagnostic services and operates as part of Eurofins, a global scientific company.

What you will do

• Process and verify incoming DNA sample packages while maintaining chain-of-custody and package-integrity requirements.
• Enter and audit patient, contract, billing, and case information in the Laboratory Information System.
• Manage case assignments, track progress, identify complete and partial cases, and determine resolution and closure.
• Prepare and send reports, affidavits, and chain-of-custody documents; notarize documents when required.
• Coordinate with Laboratory Operations and Customer Service to resolve cases and provide timely client-centered service.
• Support DNA kit assembly and shipping duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to two years of data-entry experience preferred.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and strong typing skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet production goals, multitask, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, confidentiality, flexibility, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods and lift up to 15 pounds.
