Laboratory Associate (Hematology)

Location: Valencia, California, United States; onsite laboratory role with Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. or Tuesday–Saturday 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. shifts.

Salary: $35,900–$74,800 annualized base pay.

What you will do

• Perform routine hematology specimen testing and document results according to SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Review analytical results against laboratory system algorithms and identify discrepancies or potential errors.
• Escalate unusual findings and performance issues to senior laboratory personnel.
• Prepare buffers, solutions, and testing materials; store samples and reagents appropriately.
• Support procedure development, documentation updates, continuous improvement, housekeeping, safety, quality, and 6S initiatives.
• Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders and report supply shortages.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of relevant laboratory experience, or a bachelor's degree; some locations may require a BS in Chemistry, Biology, or Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory principles, Good Laboratory Practices, regulatory standards, equipment, instrumentation, and laboratory terminology.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling.
• Ability to follow SOPs and regulatory requirements, maintain workflow controls, and document analytical results accurately.
• Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, attention-to-detail, and basic computer skills.
• Applicable certifications and licenses may be required by state or other regulatory bodies; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work standing and walking frequently.
