Lab Associate (Hematology)

Location: Valencia, CA, United States of America. Onsite role with shifts on Sunday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM, or Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00 PM–2:30 AM.

Annual base pay: $35,900–$74,800.

What you will do

• Perform routine hematology analysis of biological specimens and document results according to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Review analytical data in laboratory computer systems and verify accuracy.
• Identify, document, and escalate unusual results, discrepancies, and potential performance issues.
• Prepare buffers, reagents, and solutions; store samples and materials according to laboratory protocols.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping, safety, inventory, and workflow standards.
• Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; some CAP/CLIA locations may require a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology.
• At least 6 months of relevant laboratory experience.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory principles, testing methodologies, GLP, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, terminology, safety practices, infection control, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling.
• Basic computer skills for laboratory data review and documentation, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing and walking, with occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
