Senior Project Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY; Chicago, IL; or Boston, MA. Up to 10% travel may be required.

Salary: USD 140,000–165,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead software implementation projects for private equity, private credit, hedge fund, and asset management clients.
• Define project objectives, scope, resources, schedules, budgets, and delivery baselines.
• Track execution, milestones, costs, and project outcomes through completion.
• Build client relationships, host project workshops, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Identify risks, oversee change control, and resolve escalated issues.
• Coordinate consultants and cross-functional teams including Managed Services, IT, and R&D.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of client-facing software implementation experience.
• 6–10 years of experience in the asset management industry.
• Experience using project management tools and leading projects with complex Work Breakdown Structures.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% based on project needs.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• Experience mentoring junior staff or leading cross-functional teams.
• SS&C product knowledge.
