Sr Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or Lehi, United States; in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote placement is not considered. Local hours in PT or MT are required. Relocation is offered based on job level.

Salary: $158,000–$207,000 target annual base salary, plus potential equity and annual bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate secure, scalable multi-account AWS infrastructure using automation and infrastructure as code.
• Build and manage Kubernetes and EKS platforms, including cluster lifecycle, workload onboarding, container security, runtime controls, and observability.
• Modernize AWS networking and connectivity using VPCs, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, VPC endpoints, Route 53, firewalls, and secure egress.
• Strengthen AWS identity and governance through IAM, permission boundaries, service control policies, account provisioning, and secrets rotation.
• Improve production visibility and reliability through monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, incident response, root-cause analysis, and recovery controls.
• Advance CI/CD and software supply-chain practices while reducing operational toil through automation and responsible AI-assisted tooling.

Requirements

• 4+ years designing, building, and operating production cloud infrastructure, with deep hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience owning complex multi-account AWS environments across platform engineering, architecture, operations, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking, identity, security, compute, storage, databases, organizations, and governance.
• Production experience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools and with Kubernetes or EKS.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues across networking, DNS, IAM, Kubernetes, CI/CD, security controls, and application delivery.
• Experience using AI tools to improve infrastructure work while maintaining security, validation, and human oversight.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated financial services, PCI DSS, CIS controls, security audits, or remediation programs.
• Experience migrating workloads or connectivity from data centers to AWS.
• Experience with managed file transfer, SFTP, secure partner integrations, or high-volume data-processing platforms.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD, JFrog Artifactory, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Tempo, Wiz, or CrowdStrike.
• Python, Bash, AWS certification, or equivalent demonstrated cloud expertise.
