Service Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Schaffhausen, Switzerland; onsite role in a manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on highly automated production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of production and assembly systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams, Production Engineering, and external service providers to maintain smooth operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean Management initiatives.
• Work in a three-shift operation and take on-call duty after onboarding.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an Automation, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Production Technician, Electrician, or in a comparable technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic production systems.
• NIV13 or NIV15 electrical installation certification is advantageous, or willingness to obtain it with hirify.global support.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with a proactive and independent working style.
• Excellent written and spoken German required; basic MS Office and SAP knowledge required. English is an advantage.
