Automation Engineer (Python)

What you will do

• Prepare drug product samples using automated liquid handlers and maintain automation systems.
• Design, develop, program, and implement automated solutions using Python, Microsoft 365, and other digital platforms.
• Act as a subject matter expert in automation and digitalization while leading related workstreams.
• Investigate automation issues through root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure automation activities comply with GxP regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Collaborate with automation scientists and stakeholders to propose and implement solutions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or a related field.
• Proficient programming skills in Python and other automation-related languages.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with liquid handlers such as Hamilton Vantage, Hamilton STAR, Tecan Fluent, or Tecan Evo.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
