Lead Business Systems Analyst (Healthcare & Real World Evidence)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal. The role typically works from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM Portugal time to support collaboration with US-based stakeholders.

What you will do

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand and document requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, features, acceptance criteria, and actionable product requirements.
• Support backlog management, prioritization, PI planning, and product roadmap activities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams on system enhancements, integrations, and new product capabilities.
• Facilitate discussions, demonstrations, and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation and drive continuous improvement of business processes and technology solutions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years, or diploma with 14+ years.
• At least 8 years of business analyst experience, including writing user requirements and acceptance criteria in tools such as JIRA.
• Experience with Agile software development and Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and mentor or delegate work to team members.
• Ability to work 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM Portugal time for regular collaboration with US-based teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, clinical, research, or other regulated environments.
• Experience with Jira Align, cloud technologies, GCP validation, DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Knowledge of data warehouses, big data, and data analysis.
• Experience with product roadmaps, user journeys, PI planning, and technical thought leadership.
