Senior Release Manager (ERP)

Location: Remote position based in Germany, with occasional on-site collaboration at offices in Berlin or Cologne; up to 20 remote-work days per year anywhere in the EU.

What you will do

• Lead the evolution of the Enterprise Release Management process across Enterprise Systems.
• Establish standardized governance, release calendars, templates, and best practices.
• Coordinate complex releases across Business Owners, Team Leads, ERP Consultants, Architects, Project and Delivery Managers, QA teams, and external partners.
• Drive release readiness by managing dependencies, risks, approvals, implementation planning, and Go/No-Go decisions.
• Use Jira and Confluence to improve transparency, documentation, and release maturity.
• Identify opportunities to improve release reliability, standardization, coordination, and future automation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Release Management, IT Delivery, Service Management, or Project Management.
• Experience working in complex Enterprise Systems environments.
• Experience coordinating releases across ERP platforms such as D365 F&O, AX, SAP, or similar.
• Ability to manage cross-system dependencies without owning the technical deployment.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, structured release governance, and stakeholder alignment.
• Ability to create structure, improve existing ways of working, and build collaborative relationships.
