SA/LR/DD Cabin System Retrofit Solution Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Toulouse Area, France. The role includes on-site technical assistance during aircraft working parties and business travel to foreign countries for periods of several weeks.

What you will do

• Investigate, propose, and support engineering solutions for customer-requested cabin modifications after aircraft delivery.
• Manage engineering activities for French cabin conversion work packages across modification proposals, drawings, component lists, and service bulletin documentation.
• Define technical scope, validate planning, maintain activity schedules, and manage engineering deliverables through the production phase.
• Identify long-lead items and finalize component lists in line with kit delivery targets and the E1 to E4 process.
• Contribute to certification plans by providing modification and drawing references and proposing means of compliance.
• Provide technical support during service bulletin embodiment, resolve queries and defect reports, and participate in project review meetings.

Requirements

• Master’s or engineering degree in aeronautics, particularly mechanical or electrical systems installation or aircraft structures.
• Alternatively, a technician degree with 3–5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical systems installation or structures.
• Experience in aircraft design, preferably retrofit solutions, on legacy aircraft programs such as the DD, A320, or A330 families.
• Experience in project management and strong communication skills.
• Professional technical or conversational English is required.
• Availability for on-site technical assistance and several-week international business trips.

Nice to have

• Experience with technical delegations, specific design work, service bulletin approvals, defect report signatures, or modification closure.
• Experience supporting the upskilling of newcomers.
