Industrial Means Engineer (f/m) (Aerospace)

Location: Toulouse Area, France; based at the Toulouse site. Occasional trips of a few days, mainly in France, with occasional travel to Europe and the UK. Security clearance is required, or eligibility for clearance from recognized authorities.

hirify.global develops and manufactures aerospace and space systems, with this role supporting the Manufacturing Engineering organization for mechanical assembly, integration, and testing.

What you will do

• Identify technical tooling and mechanical ground support equipment requirements with design offices, systems engineers, and end users.
• Analyze satellite-specific constraints, assess technical risks, and define make, buy, or reuse strategies.
• Write technical specifications and Statements of Work covering functional, technical, operational, and supplier deliverables.
• Manage requests for quotation and tender processes, evaluate suppliers, and monitor cost, schedule, quality, and technical deviations.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities, validate 3D models and engineering drawings, and manage design changes.
• Participate in factory acceptance tests, support initial equipment deployment, and manage configuration, maintenance documentation, and commissioning data.

Requirements

• Engineering background in mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience developing and managing the lifecycle of industrial tooling or ground support equipment.
• Strong knowledge of 3D computer-aided design, mechanical analysis, manufacturing processes, and metrology.
• Experience monitoring costs and schedules, managing technical deviations, and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Fluent English is required; professional French is required for local negotiations and documentation.
• Security clearance or eligibility for clearance is mandatory.

• Knowledge of thermal, radio frequency, electromagnetic compatibility, or alignment principles.
