TL;DR

Financial Accountant (Financial Reporting/Tax Compliance): Supporting accurate financial reporting, audit readiness, tax compliance, cost control, and business partnering in a commercially driven finance function with an accent on financial analysis, regulatory reporting, and reporting automation. Focus on maintaining financial controls, leading audit processes, analysing overhead variances, supporting supplier negotiations, and improving finance systems and reporting tools.

Location: Dublin 24, Leinster, Ireland (Hybrid)

What you will do

Maintain audit-ready balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and key financial controls.
Lead year-end and interim audits and ensure accurate VAT, SSD, Excise Duty, DRS, PAYE/BIK, and Intrastat submissions.
Monitor overhead spending against budget, identify savings opportunities, and support tenders, renewals, and supplier negotiations.
Prepare monthly management accounts, overhead variance analysis, ad hoc reports, and financial models.
Partner with non-finance stakeholders by providing clear financial information, analysis, and insight.
Improve and standardise finance processes, reporting tools, and automation.

Requirements

Professionally qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Strong experience in financial analysis, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced Excel skills and exposure to Power BI.
Strong systems awareness, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Experience with indirect taxes, regulatory reporting, mentoring junior staff, and fast-paced commercial environments is desirable.
