Assistant Finance Manager (AI & Automation)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid role with office attendance required two days per week

Salary: €50,000–€60,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the Financial Controller across the day-to-day Finance function and five legal entities.
• Own month-end close, reconciliations, journals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare financial reports, KPIs, cash-flow forecasts, audit materials, VAT returns, and other statutory finance requirements.
• Manage credit control, aged debt, cash collection, customer receipts, and payment queries.
• Investigate discrepancies, maintain accurate ledgers, and strengthen financial controls.
• Improve and automate finance processes using AI tools such as Claude and other technology.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in finance, accounting, credit control, finance operations, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end close, reconciliations, journals, and finance processes.
• Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, and cash collection.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, ownership, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Accounting technician qualification or part-qualification such as ATI/IATI, ACCA, or CIMA is advantageous but not essential.
