Area Manager - Maintenance (Fashion, Import, Print Solutions, Regional, Returns, Sam's, Wm.Com)

Location: Alachua, Florida, United States; onsite at a regional distribution facility

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year, plus potential annual or quarterly performance bonuses and regional pay zone compensation.

What you will do

• Lead daily maintenance operations for warehouse equipment, facility systems, and building infrastructure.
• Manage maintenance programs covering material handling, electrical, pneumatic, compressed air, refrigeration, and preventive maintenance systems.
• Prioritize work, allocate resources, coordinate schedules, and improve equipment reliability while minimizing downtime.
• Build and develop a high-performing maintenance team through coaching, staffing, performance management, succession planning, and training.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing maintenance metrics, equipment trends, operational reports, and business data.
• Monitor maintenance expenses, capital projects, asset utilization, budgets, and cost optimization plans.

Requirements

• Experience leading maintenance operations in a distribution, manufacturing, supply chain, industrial, or logistics environment.
• Knowledge of facility systems, material handling equipment, refrigeration, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience managing safety programs and regulatory compliance, including OSHA, DOT, NFPA, environmental, hazardous waste, and stormwater requirements.
• Leadership experience developing teams, managing workloads, evaluating and mentoring supervisors or managers, and participating in hiring and promotion activities.
• Ability to analyze operational and financial data, manage budgets and capital expenditures, and make performance-driven decisions.
• Associate's degree or technical school certification with relevant supervisory experience, a bachelor's degree in business, industrial, logistics, or a related field, or qualifying Walmart Logistics and industrial supervisory experience.

Nice to have

• Compliance, general maintenance, Microsoft Office, refrigeration equipment, warehouse management systems, and warehouse management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business or logistics.
