Ammonia Service Technician (Industrial Refrigeration)

Location: Nationwide, United States; frequent travel to customer sites is required

hirify.global provides engineered industrial refrigeration and process cooling solutions using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂, serving food and beverage, cold storage, pharmaceutical, industrial manufacturing, and mission-critical infrastructure customers.

What you will do

• Repair, maintain, inspect, and support industrial refrigeration equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical systems, controls, and alarm systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance and support industrial customer accounts.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and applicable requirements.
• Travel on a 10-days-on, 4-days-off tour schedule, typically working 50–60 hours per week.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or GED; HVAC/R or electrical schooling is preferred.
• Universal EPA certification.
• Working knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration, electrical troubleshooting, and high- and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to travel nationwide and work at customer sites.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug, felony, and motor vehicle record screenings; regular drug testing is required for this safety-sensitive role.

Nice to have

• RETA 1 and RETA 2 certifications.
• Motor alignment experience.
