Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration

Location: Onsite at 1735 S Highway 27, Carrollton, Georgia 30117, United States

Salary: $29.00–$58.00 per hour, plus possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, ductwork, and control panels.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, walk-ins, and HVAC systems to reduce downtime.
• Inspect systems and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations, including refrigerant documentation.
• Lead and mentor field technicians while promoting safe and technically proficient work.
• Manage service calls, coordinate external providers, maintain records, and operate company vehicles safely.

Requirements

• Two years of mechanical maintenance or construction-related experience with a vocational or technical HVAC/R certification, or four years of relevant experience.
• EPA Type I and Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC-R or Mechanical Journeyman qualification where required.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA 608 protocols, preventive maintenance, schematics, layout plans, and building codes.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report, including the stated commercial driving record requirements.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and lead or mentor technicians.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office software.
