Commercial HVAC/R Technician

Location: Field-based across the Greater Los Angeles Area, with local travel between multiple sites and home daily

Salary: $29.75–$33.50 per hour plus overtime

What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems, including walk-in refrigeration, rooftop units, exhaust fans, hoods, make-up air units, and DOAS systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC/R, refrigeration, kitchen ventilation, and facility equipment across multiple sites.
• Use Building Management Systems to monitor performance, diagnose issues, and provide remote troubleshooting support.
• Conduct site inspections, review startup and testing reports, and verify safe and efficient system operation.
• Support new facility openings by checking installations, identifying issues, and coordinating corrective actions.
• Handle basic electrical and plumbing maintenance and coordinate external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience.
• Experience with rooftop units, ventilation systems, or walk-in refrigeration.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between local sites.
• Monday–Friday schedule with an on-call rotation and overtime opportunities.

Nice to have

• HVAC Universal certification through EPA certification, trade school, or equivalent training.
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site facilities.
• Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
