Electrical Engineer (Industrial Refrigeration)

Company

Provides custom-engineered industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and carbon dioxide, with engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and aftermarket support performed in-house.

What you will do

• Design electrical controls, power systems, and lighting systems for industrial refrigeration and warehousing projects.
• Prepare preliminary and final design drawings, documentation, and electrical calculations using CAD software.
• Develop controls bills of materials and take-offs, enter BOM data into the ERP system, and support purchasing activities.
• Coordinate with project management, construction, fabrication, purchasing, and vendor teams on specifications and materials.
• Support installation activities and verify compliance with design specifications, regulations, company procedures, and client standards.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in electrical system design.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or other CAD software such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment and regular drug testing.
• Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods and occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• EIT license or interest in pursuing a PE license.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems or previous MEP experience.
