Maintenance Electrician II - Journeyman, 1st Shift (Industrial Electrical/PLC)

What you will do

• Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and components on industrial machinery and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot robotic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, PLC, and controls-related issues in manufacturing operations.
• Perform safe maintenance activities for equipment, buildings, and grounds while reducing downtime and operating costs.
• Recommend and implement equipment or process improvements related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Provide technical support to project managers and engineers and represent maintenance on relevant projects.
• Train maintenance technicians and apprentices.

Requirements

• Technical associate degree or certificate in a maintenance-related field.
• 6+ years of commercial or industrial electrical and maintenance experience.
• Required working knowledge of PLC hardware and programming systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, and machine specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, systematic problem-solving ability, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to acquire and maintain certifications for operating service equipment and to train apprentices.

Nice to have

• Experience with equipment and automation in metal fabrication, paint, and assembly operations.
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude and PC knowledge.
