Unit Manager General Liability

Location: PA - Wyomissing, United States; hybrid work model

Salary: $109,300–$180,200 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentives

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, develop, and performance-manage a team of claim professionals.
• Recruit, onboard, retain, and develop talent while managing staffing, succession planning, and training needs.
• Review claim files, assign new claims, improve file quality, and ensure consistent claim handling and customer service.
• Develop file management strategies that improve resolution, productivity, cost effectiveness, and business results.
• Use management information, data, and technology to identify opportunities and improve outcomes.
• Build relationships with colleagues, customers, agents, regulatory agencies, and business partners; participate in meetings and agency visits.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of claim work experience in one or more lines of business.
• Claim management experience and demonstrated ability to lead people and business initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Insurance license may be required and generally must be obtained within three months of starting, with continuing education thereafter.
