Senior Underwriter Agriculture

What you will do

• Support the global agriculture portfolio strategy across Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, ANZ, and other APAC markets.
• Underwrite, cost, and price agricultural reinsurance treaties and facultative business for renewals and new deals.
• Develop agricultural insurance schemes, including product design, pricing, and policy wording, with private and public sector partners.
• Build relationships with insurers, brokers, government entities, clients, and agriculture stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical and market studies, publications, training, and consulting services.
• Manage agriculture insurance data, pricing and claims information, underwriting system input, budgeting, and contract administration.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance underwriting, actuarial work, or pricing.
• Strong technical understanding of agriculture pricing, exposure assessment, and claims or loss experience analysis.
• Strong analytical, data management, processing, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Agriculture, Actuarial Science, Finance, Agronomics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Insurance, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Excel and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of agriculture business in Asia.
• Knowledge of emerging technology in agriculture insurance.
• Experience with index-based insurance solutions.
