Sales Associate (Orthopaedics)

Location: Santa Rosa, California, United States. Residence in or willingness to relocate to the posted territory is required. The role includes operating-room and hospital work, local territory coverage, and weekend or overnight travel.

What you will do

• Support sales objectives, customer retention, product conversions, and market-share goals across the assigned territory.
• Guide surgeons in the operating room by presenting, demonstrating, and supporting the proper use of orthopaedic products.
• Attend surgeries, ensure equipment availability and performance, optimize instrument trays, and consult with operating-room and sterile-processing departments.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, respond to customer requests, manage hospital billing, and create or close purchase orders.
• Maintain equipment and assets, prepare sales reports, and share customer, procedural, and market insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic account teams.
• Build surgeon and account relationships while communicating the value of DePuy Synthes products and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; or an associate degree or medical certification with at least 2 years of professional or related experience; or at least 4 years of professional or related experience; recently transitioned military candidates may also qualify.
• Ability to work in a laboratory and operating-room environment.
• Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
• Residence in or willingness to relocate to the Santa Rosa, California territory.
• Ability to travel, including possible weekend and overnight travel.
• Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem-solving, organization, self-motivation, and business-acumen skills.

Nice to have

• Strong technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions.
• Experience with account management, healthcare trends, market research, solutions selling, and relationship building.
