Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration (HVAC/R)

Location: League City, Texas, United States; onsite at 1701 W FM 646 Rd

Hourly wage: $35.00–$70.00. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is also mentioned.

What you will do

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and building pneumatics.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Manage refrigerant handling and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable HVAC/R codes.
• Coordinate, mentor, and train field teams while evaluating technical development.
• Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, service schedules, documentation, and on-call support.

Requirements

• Three years of HVAC or grocery rack refrigeration experience, or six years plus an Associate of Applied Science in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC-R or Mechanical Journeyman credentials where required.
• At least one year of plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related experience, or two years of hirify.global store experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report; commercial driving records must meet specified safety requirements.
• Experience leading field teams, troubleshooting commercial and industrial systems, documenting work, and supporting on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year technical or vocational HVAC/R program or associate degree.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, Glycol, and CO2 systems.
