Technical Program Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Xiamen, China; remote work with regular on-site presence at contract manufacturing facilities as required

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing process development, qualification, production readiness, NPI, product transfers, and production ramp activities.
• Partner with contract manufacturers to establish scalable processes, operating windows, process controls, tooling, equipment readiness, and validated parameters.
• Own manufacturing performance metrics including yield, OEE, scrap, downtime, throughput, cycle time, capacity utilization, and process capability.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for manufacturing, equipment, quality, process, and reliability issues.
• Drive technology transfer, industrialization, process scale-up, automation, continuous improvement, and capacity expansion initiatives.
• Coordinate technical workstreams across engineering, quality, supply chain, procurement, operations, and external manufacturing partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or a related technical discipline.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, technical program management, product industrialization, or related roles.
• Experience with NPI, process development, industrialization, manufacturing transfers, process validation, and production ramp management.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, or external manufacturing partners.
• Experience with OEE, yield, throughput, SPC, Cp/Cpk, FMEA, DOE, DMAIC, Six Sigma, Minitab, JMP, Excel, Power BI, or equivalent tools.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing, injection molding, converting, coating, assembly, automation, or related processes.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Belt, TPM, or Operational Excellence experience.
• Knowledge of MES, manufacturing dashboards, digital factory technologies, robotics, vision systems, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949.
