Principal Manufacturing Product Engineer (Optical Modules)

What you will do

• Lead New Product Introduction activities, including design reviews, process development, risk assessment, and manufacturing readiness.
• Drive product development, process integration, yield improvement, process optimization, and manufacturing scalability.
• Resolve complex product, process, yield, reliability, and quality issues with global cross-functional teams.
• Lead DFM, PFMEA, process-flow optimization, process validation, and development of manufacturing standards and work instructions.
• Manage BOM and component readiness while coordinating with supply chain teams and suppliers on custom parts and assemblies.
• Mentor engineers and lead complex engineering projects across multiple priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related Science field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in product development, NPI, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering in telecommunications, optical modules, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Technical leadership experience with complex engineering projects and cross-functional decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of assembly and test processes, manufacturing equipment, reliability principles, materials science, process control, databases, and statistical analysis.
• Hands-on experience with DFM, PFMEA, yield improvement, process optimization, and manufacturing scalability.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with fiber optic line cards, optical modules, optical switches, and related telecommunications components.
• Experience mentoring engineers and establishing engineering best practices.
