Water Engineer (Water Treatment)

Location: Seremban, Malaysia; onsite role supporting site operations

hirify.global is a semiconductor manufacturing company operating production facilities that require reliable water and wastewater treatment systems.

What you will do

• Lead and manage technicians responsible for RODI and wastewater treatment systems.
• Ensure reliable operation, maintenance, capacity, and performance of water treatment equipment.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, SOPs, monitoring practices, and maintenance standards.
• Manage SCADA monitoring for RODI and WWTP operations and optimize water quality and operational efficiency.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, system upgrades, improvement initiatives, and major shutdown activities.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, facilities, contractors, consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders while ensuring environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Science Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, utilities, or facilities engineering.
• Strong knowledge of RODI, reverse osmosis, ion exchange/deionization, and wastewater treatment plant operations.
• Experience designing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting water treatment systems; ability to interpret PFDs and P&IDs.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, automation control systems, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• CePIETSO-PCP and/or CePSWaM certification.
