Industrial Gas Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Plan, forecast, coordinate, and evaluate preventive and predictive maintenance for LN₂, N₂, LCO₂, plasma gas, forming gas, and LPG systems.
• Lead industrial gas CAPEX projects from concept and design through procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, root cause investigations, troubleshooting, and corrective actions for gas system failures.
• Collaborate with production, facilities, EHS, vendors, contractors, and service providers to improve gas reliability, consumption, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Develop maintenance strategies, operating procedures, engineering standards, technical documentation, and continuous improvement programs.
• Support the NXP expansion project from an industrial gases perspective and manage statutory compliance activities, including DOSH and DOE requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience managing industrial gas systems in semiconductor, manufacturing, electronics, chemical, or similar industries.
• Technical knowledge of industrial gases, distribution networks, storage systems, pressure regulation, vaporizers, and associated equipment.
• Experience with gas system design, engineering calculations, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and applicable safety regulations.
• Strong project management, analytical problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor or high-technology manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of hydrogen, specialty gas systems, and cryogenic piping.
• Certification in project management, professional engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience with operational excellence, reliability engineering, energy optimization, and continuous improvement programs.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project.
