Technician 3, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, servicing, and repairs on production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, control-system, and equipment failures.
• Document preventive maintenance, inspections, failures, and repair history in checklists and maintenance databases.
• Provide input to shift coordinators and equipment engineers to improve maintenance cycle time, tool availability, quality, scrap reduction, and ownership cost.
• Train and certify junior technicians.
• Support tool owners and equipment engineers with machine conversions, upgrades, and improvement projects.

Requirements

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic/Electromechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Ability to work a 12-hour AWS shift and overtime as required.
• Experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance, preferably involving sputtering equipment or vacuum chamber systems.
• Knowledge of control systems, PLCs, measurement tools, schematic diagrams, troubleshooting, failure isolation, root-cause analysis, and repair.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Forum Notes.
• Effective communication and collaboration with production, process, yield, quality, and engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with sputtering or related machine maintenance.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and control-system troubleshooting.
• Experience training or certifying junior technicians.
