Executive Director (Healthcare Operations)

Location: Eugene, Oregon, United States. Work is performed primarily in an office and clinical-practice environment, with approximately 40% travel by air or automobile.

What you will do

• Co-create and execute multi-year strategy, annual operating plans, budgets, capital priorities, growth initiatives, and business cases with physician leadership.
• Own practice P&L management, forecasting, variance control, expense management, margin improvement, and capital stewardship.
• Improve performance across clinics, infusion, pharmacy, research, revenue cycle, and support functions using analytics and operational dashboards.
• Lead quality, safety, compliance, process improvement, standardization, and operational change while protecting patient and employee experience.
• Build trusted relationships with physicians, hospitals, joint ventures, payers, vendors, community partners, and Network teams.
• Develop a diverse leadership team, strengthen succession planning, and lead culture, engagement, retention, and talent development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• At least seven years of progressive healthcare management and operations experience, including three years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Strategic, operational, and financial leadership experience in healthcare services; community oncology, multi-site ambulatory care, or physician-practice experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience partnering with physicians and senior stakeholders, leading multi-level teams, managing change, and developing talent.
• Working knowledge of healthcare finance, payer and reimbursement dynamics, revenue cycle, quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Executive-level communication, influence, negotiation, conflict resolution, judgment, emotional intelligence, credibility, and integrity.

Nice to have

• MHA, MBA, or a related master’s degree.
• Experience leading a multi-site, multidisciplinary physician group or ambulatory healthcare organization with full P&L accountability.
• Experience delivering growth, productivity, or margin improvement and developing business cases for new sites, services, research, technology, or partnerships.
• Experience leading physician-administrator dyads, major operational or technology changes, and complex hospital, payer, joint venture, or vendor relationships.
