Location: Austin, Texas — onsite at the 4101 James Casey Street #101 clinic. Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What you will do

  • Welcome patients and visitors, check patients in, and notify clinical staff of arrivals.
  • Provide, collect, review, file, and update patient forms, demographic details, and insurance information.
  • Register patients, schedule and reschedule appointments, and provide appointment instructions.
  • Answer and route calls, respond to routine questions, and relay accurate messages to clinical staff.
  • Collect co-pays and balances, issue receipts, and complete patient check-out procedures.
  • Maintain patient records, forms, supplies, and an orderly clinic lobby while following privacy and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least five years of front medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software required for the Senior level.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
  • Ability to complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of starting the position.
  • Frequent interaction with patients and staff; ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Work must be performed onsite at the Austin, Texas clinic.
