TL;DR

Location: Boston, Massachusetts; hybrid schedule with 2–3 days onsite per week

Salary: $45,500–$54,400 per year

What you will do

  • Schedule complex, multidisciplinary appointments for oncology patients according to established guidelines.
  • Monitor scheduling reports and optimize the use of clinical resources.
  • Perform patient check-in and check-out, triage phone calls, verify patient identities, print documentation, and enter verbal orders.
  • Communicate with patients, families, providers, leadership, and cross-functional teams while explaining complex information in patient-friendly terms.
  • Respond to patient concerns, de-escalate grievances, recognize emergencies, and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Complete registration, compliance, quality improvement, system upgrade, and patient-use iPad support activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with technology and complex computer systems required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, assume additional responsibilities, and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of computers and technology, including Epic, Real Time Locating System, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of protected health information and comply with HIPAA and institutional policies.
