Mechanical/Robotics Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Pullman, Washington and Lewiston, Idaho; work is performed at both locations, approximately 45 minutes apart.

Salary: $102,900–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and integrate mechanical and robotic solutions for manufacturing facilities.
• Create problem statements, design solutions, integrate them into production, and close out projects.
• Lead a small team delivering automation that improves safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Use collaborative and industrial robotics, end-of-arm tooling, computer vision, CAD, and custom mechanical tools and fixtures.
• Bring designs to the production floor, participate in design reviews, and provide technical feedback.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget while supporting employee development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Approximately 2 or more years of experience in at least three areas including automation integration, materials and processes, mechanics, CAD, manufacturing engineering, or electronic manufacturing techniques.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
• Must pass a background check and drug test in accordance with SEL requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience leading small teams.
• Experience with robotics, especially Universal Robots collaborative robots, and vision systems.
• Experience in design, automation, or general engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience writing or conducting Design of Experiments.
