Avionics Test Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, with in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office

Salary: $45 per hour

What you will do

• Assist with developing new automated test equipment (ATE) rack systems.
• Improve hardware test stands used for spacecraft manufacturing.
• Develop processes and tooling that support satellite bus production at scale.
• Complete an assigned project with measurable impact under the guidance of a dedicated mentor.
• Participate in aerospace learning sessions and connect with engineering peers and professionals.

Requirements

• Graduation between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with Altium and programming languages such as Python for scripting.
• Proficiency in PCB development, buildup, and testing.
• Familiarity with avionics hardware and embedded communication protocols, including UART, SPI, CAN, and I2C.
• Availability to pause or adjust academic commitments, such as taking a semester off or enrolling part-time, for the duration of the 12-week program.
