Specialist, Body Shop Training (Automotive)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings, events, and occasional travel

Salary: $90,000–$112,500 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus

What you will do

• Train body shop team members, team leaders, supervisors, specialists, technicians, and occasionally management.
• Develop fundamental skills, generic Lean, process-improvement, quality-improvement, and body shop training programs.
• Lead fundamental-skills training modules and issue competence certifications for body shop trainees.
• Identify annual training needs and gaps, plan training schedules, facilitate sessions, and maintain qualification records in the LMS and other tracking systems.
• Collect and analyze training and performance data, develop dashboards, and conduct performance-gap and root-cause analysis for defects.
• Support problem-solving activities, participate in CIP workshops, plan equipment requirements, and develop VR, AR, and AI training.

Requirements

• High school diploma, bachelor's degree, or relevant work experience in a Tier 1 automotive body shop.
• At least 4 years of experience in body shop automotive manufacturing or an automotive environment.
• Experience training production team members, team leaders, supervisors, specialists, or technicians.
• Experience with Lean Management, Six Sigma, production systems, 5S, waste identification, defect identification, quality checks, and vehicle-surface repair.
• Problem-solving, coordination, communication, documentation, and data-analysis skills.
• Ability to work outside normal office hours or on shifts during production ramp-up.
