TL;DR
Specialist, Logistics Training (Automotive Manufacturing): Developing and delivering logistics training, certification, documentation, and learning-management content for automotive production teams with an accent on fundamental logistics skills, process quality, and competency development. Focus on identifying training gaps, analyzing performance and defect root causes, supporting problem solving, and improving production systems through Lean and continuous improvement workshops.

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel

Salary: $90,000–$112,500 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus

What you will do

  • Train logistics production associates, team leaders, supervisors, specialists, technicians, and occasionally management.
  • Develop fundamental logistics, process, quality improvement, and production-system training for in-house and inbound logistics operations.
  • Lead basic logistics training modules and issue competency certifications for logistics team members.
  • Identify training needs and gaps, plan schedules with department management, and facilitate training sessions.
  • Maintain training documentation and records in the learning management system and other tracking tools.
  • Analyze performance and training data, conduct gap and root-cause analysis, support problem-solving activities, and participate in continuous improvement workshops.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, bachelor’s degree, or relevant job experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or an automotive environment.
  • Experience training logistics production associates, team leaders, supervisors, specialists, or technicians.
  • Experience with Lean Management, Six Sigma, production systems, lean principles, 5S, and problem solving.
  • Experience with mobile equipment such as tuggers, forklifts, and automated guided vehicles.
  • Ability to work outside normal office hours and provide employment and training records documenting relevant manufacturing or automation experience.
